By removing layers of corrugated cardboard, using an acrylic wash and building more layers from various scraps of repurposed cardboard, the scene created is that of a full moon rising over the ocean waves. The texture revealed by exposing the inner layer of the cardboard, along with the use of multi-directional cuts, mimics the rolling tide of the sea.
