My submittal reuses an old wood frame, with burlap and metal front hooks, as the holder of my creation. The frame holds a collection of blue, green and white sea glass that I collected from a beach in Chile in 2002; metal scrap pieces from my friend's auto shop; broken brown bottle pieces, and glass mosaic tiles. The hanger for the art piece reuses a lariat that I've had in my jewelry box for many years, and I don't remember where it came from. The center of the frame holds my mixed media painting, consisting of water color and fabric (vase and table) derived from deconstructing old clothing.
