Keshia is a portrait of a former student assistant who used to work with me at the College of Central Florida. It is a 3/4 view of her face showing her looking away at something else. It is a multimedia, acrylic piece on canvas. I used a variety of recycled materials including fabric, lace, sand, pebbles, and string. The form and colors attempt to capture her African American heritage.
